Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science tour and demos There more to the spectrum than what meets the eye. Come learn how scientist use all sorts of image capture to make sense of the world around us. Hyperspectral imaging from a drone helps farmers apply pesticides only where needed, reducing pollution of lakes and rivers. Large-scale goniometry reveals the sand and water content of beaches. Lidar is used to understand what’s beneath the rainforest canopy. Multispectral imaging reveals invisible text on ancient documents, removed by man and nature centuries ago. Virtual reality paired with eye tracking provides clues to improve the driving skills of recovering stroke patients. Learn about these technologies at the Center for Imaging Science.
